Are you looking for your perfect wedding venue for your wedding day? Well here's a few tips and some info in helping you choose the right Suffolk Wedding Venue.....
This beautiful Country Estate is located in Saxmundham, Suffolk. The Estate is set on over 600 Acres of land which gives you plenty of room to stretch your legs and celebrate your wedding day with complete freedom, so tell your DJ to crank up the decibels!
The luxurious Country House is available for hire to accommodate you and your guests. It boasts 12 bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, a rather large Kitchen, A Dining room fit for a King and Queen allowing you to seat 24 people, Snooker room and if that isn't enough it also features an Attic Bar and Private Lake at the rear of the property. Having personally explored the Country House inside and outside, I can certainly vouch that this venue is one huge Momma and takes some navigation skills to find your way around!
I went up a set of stairs and found my way to the Bride getting her hair and makeup done, and then looking to head back outside I went down a set of stairs that I believed to have been the same set I came up, though I found myself in a whole complete new world! It was a complete separate floor with more rooms which definitely weren't there on the way up! It was like Narnia, except this was a staircase and not a wardrobe...
Now if you don't necessarily need accommodation in the Country House then that's completely fine as at Bruisyard, you can hire the Wedding Barn without having to hire the Country House as well.
The Wedding Barn is just a few yards down from the Country House and it is surrounded by beautifully maintained gardens which is perfect for Photographing and Video-graphing your Mr & Mrs couples shoot, as well as your group family portraits.
Within the Barn, you have the Medieval Ceremony Hall which has lovely natural light coming through the windows along one side and can seat up to 140 people with a minimum of 50. After your Ceremony, the space can then be rearranged to make way for your Wedding DJ or Band and open up to a dance floor.
Adjacent to the Ceremony Hall, is the Banqueting Hall which also allows for seating of up to 140 guests for your Wedding Breakfast. Bruisyard Hall's in house Chef sources all produce and ingredients locally for your Afternoon Tea or 3 Course Dinner. The Sticky Toffee Pudding that I had here was AMAZING might I add!
If you are a Bride/Groom with a taste for elegant decor and fine accommodation, I would definitely recommend Bruisyard Hall as a Wedding Venue for you to seriously consider. Not only are the grounds beautifully maintained (which make for a brilliant landscape for your Wedding Photos and Wedding Video as mentioned), the venue is so well presented, the staff here are friendly and the food is amazing!
What you will want to consider to make sure this is the right venue for you; Where are you and your friends and family traveling from? The venue is in a relatively remote location from the Surrounding towns such as Woodbridge and Ipswich. Getting to the venue from Ipswich takes around 45 minutes so you will want to make sure you have thought about if your guests can travel to and from the venue. As I would expect many of your guests will have had a few drinks so you will need to also consider near by accommodation.
As for pricing, the venue isn't the cheapest you will come across in Suffolk, but I do think the prices are relative to the standard of the venue. The venue offers tailored packages so if the standard price sounds a little bit more than you can stretch, sp
eak with the team at the venue and I'm sure they will do all they can to try and accommodate a package suitable for you. Bruisyard Hall does frequently hold open days at their venue, so you could always keep a look out via their website and attend an open day to explore the grounds and find out further details of all aspects of their wedding packages!
